| SAVE DAMPIER ROCK ART FROM DESTRUCTION |

The largest collection of prehistoric rock art in the world, located on the Dampier Archipelago, in north-west Australia is under threat from industrial development.

The Dampier Rock Art Precinct is comprised of 42 islands off the coast of the town of Karratha, a key region for the developing Western Australian petrochemical and gas industry and home to the world's largest prehistoric art gallery.

This site is of world heritage significance and is one of the 100 most endangered places according to the World Monuments Fund.

The National Trust in Western Australia with the support of The World Monuments Fund and the American Express Foundation is seeking the long term protection of this remarkable prehistoric gallery.
